Kampala International School-Uganda Creche is now accepts toddlers aged 18 months and above

The Kampala International School-Uganda (KISU) has announced that it is now accepting toddlers aged 18 months and above.

According to the school, one of the benefits of creche includes physical growth, emotional development, social development, communication, and linguistic development.

"Are you looking for the ideal start for your children?" We offer a special creche class at KISU where each student is appreciated and individual needs are identified and fulfilled at all times. "Admissions are now OPEN!!!" the school announces.

KISU is an international school with a primary department for pupils ages 2 to 10/11 years old. It is based on the National Curriculum for England, with some modifications to cater for the school's location and foreign student population.

KISU has a genuinely international staff and student population of over 50 countries, as well as a palpably warm, tolerant, and inviting atmosphere, but it has added throughout the years a broad variety of events, initiatives, and activities aimed to shape and develop the complete child.

The Early Years Department at KISU includes KG2 (2 years old), KG3 (3 years old), and Reception (4 years of age).

Year 1 (5 years old) and Year 2 are included in Key Stage 1 (KS1) (6 years of age).

Key Stage 2 (KS2) includes Year 3 (7 years old), Year 4 (8 years old), Year 5 (9 years old), and Year 6. (10 years of age).

Elementary School

Depending on student enrollment, the Primary division has two or three classrooms each year group. Each class includes a teacher as well as at least one Teaching Assistant (T.A.).

Secondary Education

Years 7-13 are taught at the secondary school.

Years 7-9 (about 11-14 years of age) comprise Key Stage 3, and these pupils continue to study the National Curriculum for England, which has been adjusted to fit the character of the school.

Students in Years 10 and 11 (15 to 16 years old) follow an IGCSE curriculum (similar to UK IGCSEs but more international in nature). These exams are administered by Cambridge University and are evaluated by external exams at the conclusion of the course.

Students in Years 12 and 13 (17 and 18 years old) pursue the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, a two-year course offered by the International Baccalaureate Organization.
