The Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre (UWEC) has recognized the Ruparelia Foundation for their consistent support for wildlife conservation in the region. Dr. James Musinguzi, Executive Director of UWEC, made the statements while addressing during the celebration of UWEC's 70th anniversary, previously known as Entebbe Zoo.
Dr Musinguzi stated in his address how the Ruparelia Foundation, which is part of the Ruparelia Group, supports a lion cub called Arie, named after Dr Ruparelia Sudhir's granddaughter and Ms Sheena Ruparelia's daughter, and thanked them for their continuous support for its well-being.
He noted that the institution has evolved over the years thanks to collaborations and assistance from patriotic Ugandans such as the Ruparelia Foundation, and that such milestone events enable the public understand and recognise its achievements.
He went on to say that the Ruparelia Foundation has always provided food and medical care to rhinos, and that it has always responded quickly to UWEC's demands. He asked additional partners to join the wildlife center's makeover.
"We want additional partners to join UWEC in wildlife conservation by sponsoring animals, making significant donations, and visiting the facility." Dr. Musinguzi added
