Kampala parents school holds prayers ahead of PLE

Kampala Parents' School dedicated 214 Primary Seven Candidates to God today (Friday), ahead of next week's Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), which commence on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

The school hosted the prayers for the candidates at the school grounds in Naguru, Kampala, with a portion of parents and well-wishers accompanying the children in the session, which was rooted in the pillars of life, spirituality, morality, and physical fitness, among other things.

The colorful occasion was led by Kampala Archbishop, His Grace Paul Ssemogerere, who presided over the prayers, and Imam Idi Kasozi, representing the Muslim sect, as they anointed and committed the students to God in prayer in order for them to prosper in their exams.

Ms. Daphne Kato, Principal of KPS, encouraged the eager applicants to keep focused and avoid fear in order to raise the school flag high and achieve for their bright future, which awaits.

"As you finish your seven years of primary school, I want you to know that the Kampala Parents' School family is there for you in every way." "Do not panic even as you finalize your revisions," Mrs. Kato said.

"This is the time the Lord has chosen for you to demonstrate to your parents, relatives, and teachers that you have been adequately prepared by all concerned people." "Your future begins today; lay that solid foundation and keep the candle burning even as you advance in your education," she continued.

Mrs. Kato also expressed heartfelt thanks to the school's Chairman of the Board, Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, whose steadfast support she attributed to the school's achievement in the PLE tests throughout the years.

"I would also like to render my unmatched sincere appreciation to the Chairman, together with the school management and all the stakeholders, for their tireless contributions to what you (the candidates) are today," she said.

Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, the founder and chairman of Kampala Parents' School Board, praised the 2023 P.7 candidates for their tireless efforts in securing their success and challenged them to go for it (the success) in the PLE examinations.

"To our dead candidates of 2023, I sincerely thank you for your dedication, resilience, and selflessness since the year began." Dr. Sudhir replied, "It must have been a difficult journey to trek, but trust me, it is the reason you will succeed because rough waves produce experienced sailors."

"Success comes to those who seek him; you have this, and God will do the rest," he continued, wishing the applicants the best of luck in the 2023 PLE Exams.

Kampala Parents' School, situated in Naguru (an urban neighborhood) along Saddler Way, is one of the top performing PLE schools this year, with 214 students preparing to take national examinations next week.

According to UNEB data, 749,347 applicants enrolled for the PLE Exams this year and are anticipated to take their finals at one of the country's 14,442 test venues.

Primary Seven applicants will be briefed on Tuesday, November 6, 2023, and the tests will be held between Wednesday, November 7th, and Tuesday, November 8th.
