Mrs. Jyotsna Ruparelia,
wife of Kampala businessman Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, praised her husband for
always being extremely supportive in her undertakings during a successful eye
medical camp hosted in Kamuli over the weekend.
Ms. Jyotsna, a Kamuli
district native, was among the organisers as the Ruparelia Foundation sponsored
an eye camp at the Shree Hind Bhavin Samal in Kamuli municipality on Saturday,
August 20th and Sunday, August 21st, 2022.
During the eye camp,
patients were given free eye exams, treatments, glasses, and cataract
procedures, with over 1000 people benefiting from the two events.
Mrs. Jyotsna praised Dr.
Ruparelia in her comments at the ceremony for always supporting her whenever
she organises events that entail giving back to individuals and communities.
She also congratulated the
residents of Kamuli and the patients for coming out in such great numbers to
get free treatment, and she promised to help Kamuli Township Primary School by
remodelling several classroom blocks, providing scholastic supplies, library
books, and computer equipment.
"It fills my heart to
give back to the town where I grew up," Joystna Ruparelia said.
Sheena Ruparelia, Director
of the Ruparelia Group, said that the Foundation is honoured to be in the
hometown of their founder, Joystna.
Meanwhile, the medical camp was
also graced by First Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Rebeca Kadaga, who contributed
