Ruparelia Group boosts Maternal Project with tricycle ambulances donation to save pregnant mothers

The Ruparelia Group has donated a fully equipped $3000 tricycle ambulance to Rotary International's Maternal Village Ambulance Project in order to save pregnant mothers in rural Uganda. Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja made the donation while flagging off the first 50 tricycle village ambulances donated by Rotary District 9214 at Speke Resort Munyonyo.

Ms. Nabbanja praised Sudhir and other Rotarians for volunteering to help the needy in a variety of service delivery and quality healthcare efforts. "In particular, I want to thank you Rotarians for working persistently to transform the ways of life of Ugandans, particularly the vulnerable." Thank you really lot. "The President also supports the notion of having a well-equipped tricycle ambulance in every Ugandan hamlet," Nabbanja stated.

Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, Chairman of the Ruparelia Group and an Honorary Member of the Rotary Club of Muyenga who was inducted as an Honorary Member of the Rotary Club of Kiwatule last October, was present at the event where he was recognised for changing people's lives by the Rotary Clubs of Uganda and Tanzania. Wakiso, Kabarole, and Kabale will be the focus of a trial initiative.

She went on to say that the idea would be implemented across the nation, depending on resources. The 50 bike ambulances, according to District Governor Rotary Peace, would improve the prompt referral of women and newborn infants in difficult-to-reach areas. The tricycle ambulances will improve the timely referral of mothers and newborn babies in difficult-to-reach areas, and they will be registered with the Ministry of Health for use primarily at the health centre where the majority of maternal mortality cases are reported.

The Ruparelia Foundation has previously given to Rotary initiatives. Sudhir donated an ambulance to the Rotary Club of Nsangi and Shs10 million to the hospital's maternity ward last July. He also contributed Shs10 million to Rotary's efforts to build a cancer unit at Nsambya Hospital. The foundation's primary areas of interest include health care, education, sports, wildlife and environmental protection, disaster relief, entrepreneurship, and general welfare. To date, the Ruparelia Foundation has aided over 700 philanthropic initiatives around the nation.
