Sudhir urges Lohana investors to take advantage of Uganda's attractive economic climate.

Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, the head of the Ruparelia Group and a magnate from Uganda, has asked the powerful members of the Lohana Community to invest in Uganda because of the beneficial economic climate the country provides.

Dr. Ruparelia, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Lohana Community in Uganda, was speaking at the current three-day Lohana International Business Forum, which was held at Speke Resort and Conference Centre in Munyonyo, on the outskirts of Kampala.

The conference, entitled "Africa is Calling," included approximately 800 businessmen and women from 28 countries throughout the world.

"The business climate in Uganda is advantageous, allowing firms to grow over time. He stated, "Uganda has abundant natural resources, a youthful and educated workforce, consistent and increasing middle income, and is stable in terms of governance, including macro and microeconomic policies, all of which make it an attractive location for long-term investment. It boasts one of the fastest-growing GDPs in the area. As you can see, members of our family have resided in this place for 120 years.

"Uganda is situated in central Africa and the Horn of Africa, bordering Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Dr. Sudhir resumed his presentation to the Lohana international investors by noting that these 7 countries make up the East African area and have a combined market and population of over 300 million people.

The Lohana Community has contributed greatly to Uganda's social and economic prosperity for many years. In order to strengthen the community's good effect, we have participated in commercial activities such as agro processing, retail, medicines, manufacturing, banking, information technology, the hotel industry, and education, among others.

Dr. Sudhir also lauded H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for his efficient leadership and, most crucially, his stable administration.

We are happy that the president of Uganda, H.E. Museveni, is a visionary leader who understands and supports Uganda's commercial sector. When the need comes, he is always eager to listen to the requirements of every business community, he said, adding, "With your leadership, we will undoubtedly accomplish our aim of stimulating more investments in Uganda.

To inspire persistent and sustainable investments among community members and to foster a pleasant business atmosphere, the Lohana International Business Forum was formed. The event comes following the successful Afro-Indian Investment Conference of 2022, which brought investment bids of 169.5 million dollars to Uganda, which will be followed by the Lohana International Business Forum, according to Rao.

The Ruparelia Group, Madhvani Group, Mehta Group, and Kotecha Group are a few of the major business families and groups in the Lohana neighbourhood. Some prominent rich Lohana entrepreneurs are Ketan Morjaria, the founder of Orient Bank (now I&M Uganda), and Kishor Jobanputra of the Picfare Group, among others.
